Art & Culture: ‘Wasted’ at The V&A

0

As part of London Design Festival, Arts Co have teamed up with E&KO to create an installation located in the tunnel connecting the London Underground and The V&A. ‘Wasted’ engages the public with the current issue of the tonnes of traditionally un-recycled waste that end up in landfill sites across the country. The installation aims to make the public question and re-evaluate the meaning of everyday objects through a series of immersive environments that unfold into an architectural seating stratum. ‘Wasted’ highlights the opportunities for architects, designers and artists to turn the “ordinary into the extraordinary” by using reclaimed materials for urban landscapes, art, design and the creation of beautiful products.

The London Design Festival takes place across London from 19th - 27th September.
