Here are my 11 vows for A/W 2009...join me and lets pledge to make this a sustainable and waste-free new season for A/W09! Just sign your name below in the 'comments' section and I will personally keep you amused and enthralled with ways to save money and be eco, without compromising style.
Ok, here goes...
1. I will not buy anything which does not suit my shape, natural style, or just because I have seen a model look great in it in a magazine or that it's this season's 'hot' buy.
2. I will buy a coat which I love and that I know I will wear next year and the year after that and it's made from at least 50% recycled waste.
3. I need one pair of boots this winter that I will wear with EVERYTHING. They will support my feet, keep me dry and most importantly look gorgeous.
4. I will not buy into cheap costume jewelery from questionable sources and will instead buy something handmade and long-lasting, perhaps from this lovely seller on etsy.
5. I vow that whatever happens I will not buy, maximum more than 2 party dresses. Instead of buying 5 cheap ones, I will get something like this and this which can be dressed up or down, with different tights and accessories to give me many various looks. If I need anything else, it will be cute and vintage.
6. My bag will be big, roomy, stylish and most likely by Matt & Natt.
7. I will not buy things that I don't need and instead get customising my current wardrobe with the aid of crafty magazine Peppermint.
8. I will play swapsies and get something new online whilst donating my unwanted items to help recycle unwanted clothing.
9. Because giving is the new black, I will donate any unwanted clothing to Oxfam, or any alternative high-street charity shops. Because what is my waste will be someone else's treasure!
10. No matter how cool I think shredded jeans are and how much I want to embrace this season's grunge look, I will customise what I already have to achieve this and once I am over said fad, I will cut up my jeans to make dust-cloths/a patchwork cushion/a SS10 bikini!
11. I will follow my own style and look to fashion mavericks for inspiration. I will dance to my own beat, live my own life, my way and last but not least be happy despite the imminent grey sky and frosty weather. Hurrah!
Be smart people...remember, consumers = power

Hiya, I've just started up a website and I've started creating somewhat diverse content. Would you mind if I write something about this article? I will of course provide you and this post due credit.
That would be fine as long as the content is used in context and credited. If you can send us a link to the piece that would be great.
