Lifestyle & Home: A Trip to the Salvage Yard

I’ve always been a fan of vintage and antique styling and I was in heaven when I recently took a trip to my local architectural salvage yard. A vast range of quirky pieces are on offer; from reclaimed 1930s front doors, Gothic marble fireplaces, Victorian cast iron lamps to stained glass windows,- architectural salvage yards have something for every home.  With a bit of a scrub, clean and polish these items are the perfect way to create a statement and add a touch of vintage style to your home or garden. Reclaiming unwanted items and giving them a new life is also great for the planet!
