Sooo over Christmastide I have been reading 'Beauty Bible, Beauty Steals' by Sarah Stacey and Josephine Fairley.
Now although this book reviewed some of the more famous high-street beauty brands and didn't focus particularly on Eco products, it was still extremely useful and interesting to read about how big-name products held up against organic, Eco-friendly and ethical products (more often than not the chemical-free products won).
Most of the products recommended in the book are 'beauty steals' and offer affordable products with proven results created by trials across a panel of selected women. I also learnt some useful tips throughout the book, such as how to do a simple facial massage, how to make your own DIY facial oil and using coconut butter as a substitute moisturiser / hair conditioner.
This is a girls best friend for saving precious pennies and for navigating the confusing boundaries between natural and chemically-treated products. I will go back to this book again and again to compare notes!
