We tried out the Lumie Bodyclock starter clock over a 2 month trial during November and December, to see if light therapy actually works and if this little beauty could rouse us out of our nightly sleep more easily...
I have to admit that for the first week or so, as the light would start up at 6.30 in the morning to begin shaking me out of sleep. I found it very, veeery difficult to not lean over and switch it straight back off as I would usually do with my alarm clock. Luckily the light comes straight back on unless it's unplugged at the main socket (which I have to admit happened a few times...how embarrassing).
After a couple of weeks use, using the alarm Lumie Bodyclock becomes a much easier experience and the light can even be used as a SAD lamp during the early evening, for a twenty minute jot of light which was very useful when energy levels were sinking. The light is also very peaceful and calming, making you feel rather warm and lovely.
The only problem I found, was that as an alarm, I just couldn't get on with this. Waking up in the cold and the dark is difficult and I found that getting up at a different time from my partner made the bright light quite unsociable shining at us both at seven in the morning...perhaps it's just our unusual routine! I think that this would work a lot better if you could get up a little bit later (around 8pm), during winter as this would balance much better with your natural body clock. You can buy one here.

Nice post, keep up the excellent work
