Design: New career path for redundant tins!
Have you ever wondered what happens to your tins when you are putting them out for recycling? Well the specific ones that you recycled last week might end up being part of a car or machinery, but there is a better life for your tins that have been patiently sitting in your cupboard, holding your tea and biscuits and have now been made redundant. They could find themselves a new career path in
jewellery.
This new collection created by Bryony Carrington in North Wales, uses recycled copper and aluminium to create these beautiful unique pieces. Delicate images inspired by nature, are skillfully drawn on recycled copper using a piercing saw, which is then placed on a disc of recycled aluminium for a striking contrast, creating a beautiful piece of jewellery and a bold statement.
What better way to accessorise that gorgeous summer tan that we might actually get this year, even if we do stay in England.
