These wild images have been created for Lavazza, and I wanted to post them up here for you to admire their creativity, and what you can do with a great, original and individual team. The company worked with artist Miles Aldridge to create these dramatic and hyper-realistic photo's for Lavazza's calender.

Here's what he had to say about the project: “I didn’t just want six ravishing beauties. I wanted six women that were larger than life in their different ways,” Aldridge explains. He continues, “I like Lavazza’s idea of asking an international artist rather than an Italian to talk about Italianess. It gives us another outlook, another viewpoint, another perspective we might not have considered. I like the concept of Italy being “filtered”, rather like coffee: it’s a nice image.”

Art & Culture: ‘Wasted’ at The V&A

As part of London Design Festival, Arts Co have teamed up with E&KO to create an installation located in the tunnel connecting the London Underground and The V&A. ‘Wasted’ engages the public with the current issue of the tonnes of traditionally un-recycled waste that end up in landfill sites across the country. The installation aims to make the public question and re-evaluate the meaning of everyday objects through a series of immersive environments that unfold into an architectural seating stratum. ‘Wasted’ highlights the opportunities for architects, designers and artists to turn the “ordinary into the extraordinary” by using reclaimed materials for urban landscapes, art, design and the creation of beautiful products.

The London Design Festival takes place across London from 19th - 27th September.

Art & Culture: Hip Hop Made Visible?

Phil Stein is apparently the art world’s answer to Eminem and is now staging his first exhibition in the UK, which represents the fast-paced, non stop nature of city life. Having come from a background of poverty, domestic violence and constant depression, Phil Stein’s work is now set to be exhibited at one of the coolest events in London, which will mix high fashion, music, and Phil’s work. It’s a great success story for a guy who has an incredible story...He was always told he’d never amount anything by an abusive step father and ex art master, but now he’s been picked up by a really unique company who scout the world for fresh new talent. Guess he's laughing now!
